Wahoo and King Mackerel

Fishing charters have been picking up some since the road opened. Wahoo fishing has been really good. Sat we king Mackerel fished on the Charter and caught a limit with 1 Citation size King Mackerel 34lbs. Hopefully the tuna will start showing up next month and Dec. The charter boat Endorfin fished yesterday. The road is finally back open and fishing is great! We fished yesterday with a father son team of Don and Don Timberlake of VA. While they have fished a lot they have never caught a wahoo. That changed yesterday! We caught 9 big wahoo! two citations! One was50 lbs and the other was 44. We had another 39 that just missed citation weight of 40 lbs. All the fish were nice size with nothing under 20 lbs. There were a few yellow fin tuna caught in the fleet as well as some king mackerel. We are fishing again tomorrow and Wednesday so look for more good fishing up dates.

They are going to allow tourist back on the island this Thursday!. The fishing for the few boats that have been out has been great. Still have limits of dolphin , wahoo , sailfish and a few tuna. I just looked at the ocean and it's flat calm. We can't wait to get back out there and back to work. White Marlin

Hopefully tourists will be allowed on the island after Sept 17th so we can get out fishing again. But until then we have a boat in Oregon Inlet if you want to go out of there until we are back up and running again in Hatteras. Excellent White Marlin fishing double digit catches everyday! Hurricane Irene

Wanted to give an update about Hurricane Irene. Boat and family is safe. I took the boat to Coinjock and evacuated to Edenton. My family went to Ayden, NC. We are all back in Hatteras Village. The Tri Villages were damaged badly. Many lost everything they own. North of Rodanthe there was a New inlet cut. Also 4 other wash overs at Pea Island. They are working hard on the road. The Army is putting up a temporary bridge. No vistors allowed in the island before Sept 17th. The fishing is good to catch everything so keep checking my blog and facebook for announcements about when they will let everyone on the island. I have the last 2 weeks of Sept open. If you want to help out Hatteras Island, then come out fishing, stay in the hotels and go out to dinner.

Hatteras fishing

The charter boat EndorFin fished again today. We had a great day with the Merchand family from Ohio. We caught 3 wahoo and a sailfish in the morning and found the dolphin later in the day and caught 50 before we were all done. We found a good place to jig as well and caught 3 amberjack. I feel like we had another sail bite but it just didn't come tight. We still have plenty of open days so give us a call so we can ' hook you up "!

Red Hot sailfish action off Hatteras

The endorfin fished yesterday with Dan Carter ,Caroline, Jeff Danials and Lydia. We set out to restock their freezers with dolphin and wahoo. Althouth the fishing has been great for the past few weeks it was pretty slow today. We caught tuna, dolphin and wahoo but not much of any. There was a great sailfish bite about 20 miles away so we worked the break until we got there and caught 2 sails and jumped and another off. We raised at least 5 sails in the last 1 1/2 hours!

Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Sailfish

Caught 5 nice Wahoos, 11 Mahi Mahi, and released 1 Sailfish. Could have caught more Mahi Mahi but the Charter did not want anymore when we got to another school. Great weather, calm seas and a great Charter!

We fished a full day yesterday. Caught 55 Dolphin (Mahi-Mahi) and Released a Sailfish. We need 3 or 4 more people for a full day charter tomorrow. 1/2 day spanish mackeral

The endorfin fished a 1/2 day charter with Mike Travers and his buddies. The fishing was great right off the bat and we caught plenty of spanish. We ventured off the beach a little looking for something bigger but ended up back in the spanish. The guys caught all they wanted and we even got some for marlin bait!

Dolphin and Billfish

Fished this past weekend. 3 shy of a limit of Dolphin and a White Marlin one day and a limit of Dolphin and a sailfish the next day. No luck in the Big Rock Marlin Tournament. Next tournament is in July.

Marlin Bite

This weekend was a great Marlin Bite. Caught and released 2 White Marlin Sat and the Sun the charter wanted meat fish so we ended up with 14 gaffer Dolphin on Sun. The boats that did Marlin fish were catching Blue Marlin and White Marlin.

Citation Dolphin

The weather has been really great the past few weeks. Sunny skies and calm seas.

Fished the Hatteras Village Offshore Open in May. Caught and released 1 marlin and weighed in a Gaffer Dolphin, so made a showing at the tournament.

Marlin, Sailfish, Dolphin, Wahoo, and Amberjacks is what we have been catching lately. Had 2 Citation Dolphin on Memorial Day. One was 44lbs and the other was 35lbs. Booked up this weekend but have some weekdays available next week. June is booking up quick so call now! 252-305-0722

Fishing Hatteras

The dolphin are starting to come in better numbers every day. There have been blue and white marlin caught or seen every day as well! The tuna fishing is.... well if you are in the right place at the right time you can catch a few. We did have a good run at nice yellowfins last year in early June. One of the boats did an over night trip and caught 2 nice makos and a 150 lb swordfish! We do offer over night trips and now is a great time of year to do it! Hatteras tuna

Tuna fishing has been a little spotty. Some boats do well while others struggle to get a bite. The day before yesterday was great tuna fishing. Most all of the charter boats that were in the area did well catching 15 to 20 tuna each! Yesterday was different. We didn't have a tuna bite until after lunch. We caught dolphin while we were looking but it wasn't until we put the kite up when we started getting tuna bites. We ended up with 5 tuna out of 7 bites. I have been hearing good reports from down south so more good dolphin and wahoo fishing is on the way!

Hatteras Tuna Fishing

As expected the tuna bite is getting better! Charter boats are coming in with double digit numbers of yellow fins and some black fins too! Wahoo fishing to the southern has been very good as well. There are a few dolphin already and a couple of blue marlin have been caught so far this spring. It's shaping up to be a great year for offshore fishing! Hatteras tuna fishing

We fished today, with some guys from the Richmond fire dept., as well as a few other charter boats out of Hatteras. We caught our first yellow fin tuna very shortly after we set out. There was a scattering of tuna but they were not schooled up very good. A lot of single bites. As the day progressed I was seeing more and more bait on the sonar. It's just a matter of time before the tuna find the bait and then we will catch more than 1 at a time. Looking forward to going again tomorrow! I almost forgot we had 2 bites from large mako sharks . One of which destroyed my spreader bar! We also had a gaffer dolphin. Only a few weekend days left til July so call soon!

Hatteras

We made it back to Hatteras a week os so ago and have been watching the wind blow most of the time. A few charter boats have gotten out and had pretty good catchs of tuna and wahoo. We will be fishing this weekend so pray for good weather! We have been booking trips for the summer pretty good! We only have a few weekend days left so if the weekend is your time , don't wait!

Back to Hatteras

The endorfin will be in Jupiter for one more week before we head back to Hatteras . The blue fin fishing has been excellent as well as some yellow fin. A new state record blue fin was caught 2 days ago. It weighed in at 805 pounds!! We have plenty of days open in April so give me a call so we can put you on some of this world class tuna action!
